Question: Shalom Rabbi, I am a Kollel avreich, and my wife is a giyoret. Her grandfather is not Jewish, and from time to time, he gives us financial support. Is there any issue with accepting tzedakah from a non-Jew?

Answer: Shulchan Aruch (Yoreh De’ah 254:11) states that it is permissible to accept charity from a non-Jew privately, but not publicly, meaning one should not publicize that the non-Jewish grandfather is supporting you. See there for the reasoning behind this halacha.
